I have been awarded a 5 year postdoctoral research fellowship by the Royal Academy of Engineering. With this fellowship I will lay the foundations for my own research activity in the growth of highly mismatched alloys, developing my research independence.Throughout the fellowship I will be working towards the realisation of an InGaAsBi laser operating in the mid-wave infrared.

This grant allows the top 10% of PhD students to continue their research after graduating.I worked in collaboration with researchers from the University of Surrey, Imperial College London, the National University of Malaysia, the Wroclaw University of Technology and the University of Delaware.I published the work that contributed to my thesis and I have presented it at several international conferences.
