Worked with Project Managers, Engagement Managers, System Administrators (Windows and Linux), Application and SharePoint Administrators, Web Masters and DBAs (MS-SQL and Oracle) to deliver hosted VM solutions in the four Ellucian data centers to clients.Created and administered 8 Active Directory domains in a VMware vSphere hosted environment along with deploying, configuring and managing over 580 Windows servers of various types in those domains using vSphere Client and Remote Desktops.Managed over 2,500 Active Directory user accounts along with associated groups and organizational units. All were administered using tailored Group Policies to restrict access and customize the desktop environment.Responsible for remote deployment and administration of Windows VMs at remote client sites using vSphere client and vCloud web portals.Resolved on a daily basis multiple SNOW (Service NOW) support requests from Tier 1 though Tier 3 which would range from simple user account creation to standing up entire hosted client infrastructure environments using vSphere.Installed, updated, and maintained various Microsoft applications which included SQL, IIS, SharePoint, WSUS, and Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Services)

Assigned to administer and support the IT Infrastructure for the Public Defender’s Office (Florida 9th Circuit).Primary areas of responsibility were the fourteen Dell Power Edge servers which consisted of Active Directory Controllers, Microsoft Exchange Servers, IIS Servers, Terminal Servers, and Application Servers, EMC NAS for file and folder storage, SQL Servers, Four Microsoft Virtual Servers, LANDesk Server, and over 250 Dell PCs and Laptops.Deployed the first virtual server environment running Virtual Server 2005 R2 Enterprise Edition on a host system to the Public Defender’s Office which contained VMs for Microsoft Office Communicator Server 2005-2007, Microsoft Print Server, IIS Web Server, and a WSUS server. Due to these VMs not requiring additional hardware purchases the Public Defender’s Office was saved from making additional capital purchases.Rolled out the LANDesk solution for enterprise wide management of the 250 Dell PCs and Laptops.Used RIS (Remote Installation Services) as a low cost way to deploy new images to Dell PCs and laptops.

Assigned to build out and deploy servers at Walt Disney World’s Primary Data Center.Built out forty seven HP DL385 G1 servers, installed Windows 2003 Server Standard or Enterprise edition in either 32 or 64 bit versions, installed anti-virus software, system management, and various updates to each.

Assigned to administer and support the IT Infrastructure for Health Care Corporation of America’s remote data center in Orlando.Primary area of responsibility working at the HCA remote data center was to maintain and support the 210 IBM and Dell servers located there along with the EMC NAS appliances. This included preventive maintenance, monitoring server health status, troubleshooting issues, parts replacement, and deployment of new servers.

Responsible for twelve large scale deployments for lottery clients which included: build-outs of Compaq (now HP) ProLiant servers, installation of O/S (Windows 2000 Server/ Windows 2003 Server, SCO UNIX, BSD UNIX, Red Hat Linux), creation and configuration of multiple domains via Active Directory, rolling out Group Policies, creating user accounts and the organizational units they belonged to, creating and managing group policies, setting up DHCP scopes, setting up DNS and tweaking terminal services/remote desktop.Application side including installing SQL 2000, SQL 2005, Exchange 2000/ 2003, Symantec Anti-Virus Server, ARCserve Tape Backup Solutions, McAfee ePO Anti-Virus server, Compaq (now HP) System Insight Management, Microsoft Software Update Services and Remote Installation Service (Windows 2003 only).Prior to large scale deployment assignments, my involvement was in server and workstation support to the Scientific Games Corporate Headquarters in Alpharetta, GA which involved support of 280 various Compaq/ HP ProLiant severs on the Corporate side and 105 various Compaq/ HP ProLiant servers on the Development and Quality Assurance side.Prior to corporate tasking I was assigned to the Scientific Games remote site in Orlando, Florida supporting 6 servers and 52 workstations.Used GHOST and RIS (Remote Installation Services) as an efficient means to deploy new images to large numbers of Compaq PCs thus saving Scientific Games both time and money over standard build out process.Implemented the use of Recovery Disks on all deployed servers and PCs for disaster recovery.Introduced the use of System Insight Management to actively monitor server environments at multiple client sites.

Assigned to the Seminole County computer workstation migration project.Tasked with replacing eight hundred out-of-warranty PCs of various manufacture with current Compaq Deskpro PIII 300 and 450 MHz workstations.Team Lead Migration Technician supervising four junior technicians.

Assigned to two computer workstation migration projects, Siemens-Westinghouse migration project and later the Seminole County computer workstation migration project.Siemens-Westinghouse migration project was a 1,700 computer workstation migration project where old out-of-warranty PCs and laptops were replaced with IBM workstations and ThinkPad laptops.
