It Systems Support EngineerTac Worldwide Oct 2006 - Mar 2008Assigned to administer and support the IT Infrastructure for the Public Defender’s Office (Florida 9th Circuit).Primary areas of responsibility were the fourteen Dell Power Edge servers which consisted of Active Directory Controllers, Microsoft Exchange Servers, IIS Servers, Terminal Servers, and Application Servers, EMC NAS for file and folder storage, SQL Servers, Four Microsoft Virtual Servers, LANDesk Server, and over 250 Dell PCs and Laptops.Deployed the first virtual server environment running Virtual Server 2005 R2 Enterprise Edition on a host system to the Public Defender’s Office which contained VMs for Microsoft Office Communicator Server 2005-2007, Microsoft Print Server, IIS Web Server, and a WSUS server. Due to these VMs not requiring additional hardware purchases the Public Defender’s Office was saved from making additional capital purchases.Rolled out the LANDesk solution for enterprise wide management of the 250 Dell PCs and Laptops.Used RIS (Remote Installation Services) as a low cost way to deploy new images to Dell PCs and laptops.
