Championed the use of TCB bolts in lieu of HSFG , which resulted in a 30 day program reduction in bolted connections and cost. BM4 - Part of the decrease in travel time Melb to Bendigo. Work included the rationalizing of the Bendigo UP yard, changing turnouts on passing loops to higher speed turnouts, multiple station upgrades and DDA compliance. Duplication of the Bendigo to Bendigo Junction tracks and signalling system. Upgrading 22 level crossings to axle counters and all associated civil works.I managed the development of an overall works program, highlighting required occupations. Formation works are 3.3 km of cement stabilization of the top 50 mm of capping / sub capping. The scarifying of 3.3 km of capping and re compacting and trimming to grad. I was the Major projects Manager for the Railtrack Alliance, in the alliance the renewal repair and refurbishment of rail structures were undertaken. The structures were bridges, culverts, tunnels , embankments and any other of track side structures.The works were generally undertaken during track possessions where a limited period of time was allocated to complete the works.
