Conduct server\storage and data center infrastructure with duties in networking infrastructure. This includes build up and run\maintain of associated systems and infrastructure (Servers/Switches). Completed current project of domain and active directory migration for 2200 computers and 1850 users.

Hired into newly created End User Computing (EUC) department at Newmont to in-house support of a user base of 3500 users. Currently covering a large geographical area on the east side of state including three above ground and 5 underground gold mine locations. Responsibilities include maintaining all Information Technology (IT) equipment and documentation related to all equipment. Responsible for innovating new methods and vetting to upper management for approval on regular basis from EUC team. In October of 2011 to December of 2011 participated in Windows 7 upgrade project in New Zealand and Australia for remote locations in New Zealand and central office in Perth, Australia upgrading 400 computers. Returned to normal job duties at successful completion of project. In April of 2012 till July of 2012 was deployment lead for yearly PC Refresh. I was the Deployment lead for a three person team upgrading 480 computers across state operations. Was responsible for day to day decisions and maintained project status and documentation. Returned back to normal responsibilities at successful completion of project. Current job role is infrastructure for both Network and Server/Storage.

Promoted from PC Maintenance Technician I to position of PC Maintenance Technician III. As one of only 22 service technicians for Safeway in the Vons division (285 stores) I document, maintain, upgrade or replace hardware and software and critical operating systems throughout Las Vegas as well as in Bishop and Mammoth Lakes California. My work territory entails an average mileage of 2,825 miles per month driving a company vehicle to meet my customer needs. I respond to an average of 8 tickets per day. I am familiar with a wide variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. I rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals with little to no direction. I operate independently and occasionally with another technician for large or more severe service tickets. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. I am able to analyze individual location needs and troubleshoot Desktop/Server, POS, Wired Network, Wireless Network, Scanners, Phone Systems, Laser Printers, Switches, Routers, Scales, Wireless Handheld Devices, base software packages and troubleshooting software issues. I have done full site setup for new store locations on six occasions which consists of all hardware, software and configuration work. My average service location contains 250 pieces of equipment and I typically address 2 additional ticket items in addition to the critical call item(s) while onsite. I’ve replaced all pieces of equipment with new equipment during the course of 10 years.

Kesmai Studios is an online computer game company that I worked at concurrently while working for Safeway. I managed and trained a technical support team for ongoing on-line customer support for a game called Aliens Online. Out of a team of 40 people I was responsible for 4 team members working under me in providing support through on-line chat and e-mail. The technical support team was responsible for diagnostics, troubleshooting, and account support. I was responsible for creating and maintaining a knowledge base of solutions for known system and software issues. I also analyzed and created the solutions for new problems; the resolutions were then shared with my team and then added to a knowledge base document. I also managed and resolved issues not solvable by the technical support team at the first level. The support team or project lead delegated any issues that were not solvable at first level support to me for second level support.

Westwood studios was a computer game company based in Las Vegas, Nevada that I worked for concurrently while working for Safeway. I installed and maintained a diverse range of computer systems including both hardware and software for testing software on multiple different computer platforms. All makes of computers were represented including Gateway, Dell, HP, Compaq, etc. In addition to desktop computers I managed phone and network lines along with standard peripherals associated with computers. I also performed quality assurance work on software in development and wrote technical support documents on discovered problems within the software and hardware.
