About Robert Schultz
My wife Christine and I live in western Massachusetts. We enjoy hiking, cannoning, and fishing during the summer months and snowshoeing during winter. My career started at Hamilton Standard working as a Manufacturing Engineer. While working at Hamilton, I attended graduate school at Boston University and received a master’s degree in engineering. Material science, controls and computer programming are areas of study.After working for several years in the aerospace industry I took an opportunity to work for a startup control company, Ewing Controls. Ewing builds control systems for industrial equipment specializing in controls for steam turbine generators. My experience in the aerospace industry helped expand Ewing’s scope into power and petrochemical plants.While working for Ewing Controls, I gained experience with power generation, relay protection systems, stability studies and have worked with several PLC / SCADA platforms including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Triconex and Wonderware. I am now the Lead Sales Engineer of Ewing Controls. In this role I am the primary customer contact managing the various on-going projects along with writing test plans, reports, proposals, estimating costs, and managing schedules.
