The Security Officer patrols the facilities and property to maintain order, protect personnel, and prevent fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, etc. Enforces Mayo policies and provides assistance to patients, visitors, and employees. Responds to other Security requirements of the campus. Responds to complaints of wrongdoing, prepares incident reports/activity logs, and works in the Security control center. Works cooperatively with all levels of allied-health professionals throughout the system. Interacts closely with patients and visitors. Effects liaison with law enforcement agencies, fire department personnel and other emergency workers as required in an emergency or as directed by management.
