Responsible for business development, advisory and training services with central banks, sovereign wealth funds and national pensions across all regions. Produces industry-specific research on official institution and investment-related issues. Conduct training for Official Institutions in organised seminars or ad hoc on-site sessions covering topics including forecasting, risk management, portfolio construction, asset allocation, manager selection and yield curve modelling. Also responsible for internal business updates on global official institution activity and trends in the industry. Relationship management for some entities where sales teams are not able to manage institutional client relationships.

Responsible for a team of six portfolio managers managing over USD 25 billion in global high-grade fixed-income portfolios for primarily central bank clients. Also developed an external manager programme for MBS. Re-developed the investment process from the ground up to a factor-based scalable approach. Daily responsibilities included rebalancing portfolios, monitoring that all positions held by other portfolio managers were consistent with view and sized appropriately. Regularly attended management meetings to give updates on positions and rationale. Conducted portfolio reviews with clients, describing attribution and rationale and supplying forward looking market outlook. As head of the investment process I was responsible for ensuring all investment views were well researched, agreed to by sufficient voting members on the investment committee and we’re implemented in a manner consistent with the investment committee's convictions. I also travelled regularly in a business development position marketing asset management services around the world.

Responsible for managing JPY and USD government and agency fixed-income portfolios as well as the development of quantitative forecasting models to be used in the investment process across multiple factors. was also responsible for regular briefings to the Monetary and Economics department about market developments, investment themes and any anomalies in the market.I assisted in the development and management of the Asian Bond Fund, an initiative developed by EMEAP to improve liquidity in the USD Asian government bond markets.

Worked in the Monetary and Economics department on derivatives statistics, macro research and yield curve modeling. was also responsible for research and writing input into the BIS Quarterly Review and for development of liquidity and market stress indicators for the BIS Committee for the Global Financial System as well as the G10 Governors Committee and the Committee for Payments and Settlements Systems.

Launched the BCA Fixed-Income Strategist, a weekly US bond market strategy publication. The weekly focused on US Treasuries, curve, credit, MBS and other high-grade fixed-income investment strategies based on the BCA macroeconomic outlook. I also spoke at conferences and teleconferences on our fixed-income market outlook and yield curve and sector strategy. Contributed to regular weekly research meetings covering global investment themes. I also developed a pricing database and analytics toolkit to provide regular valuation measures across the market. Developed several econometric and valuation-based measures for forecasting yields, spreads and other market prices. Responsible for the hiring and management of two analysts.

Responsible for quantitative research and model development including the BCA Bond Model and other fixed-income related indicators. Wrote the yield curve strategy component of the BCA Interest Rate Forecast monthly publication while developing the framework and material to eventually launch the BCA Fixed-Income Strategist. Also developed a pricing database of US Treasuries and several term-structure models in order to produce daily relative-value analysis. Also developed several econometric functions for modelling macroeconomic data in APL and C++. This included database maintenance and updating routines for hundreds of macro and financial time series. I also managed relationships with academics responsible for developing more sophisticated econometric models in RATS and EViews.
