He is a Professor and Extension Specialist in Forest Products Marketing at Virginia Tech. and the director of the Center for Forest Products Business. He holds a Ph.D. from Virginia Tech in Forest Products Marketing, a MBA from the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh, and a B.S. in Wood Science from Michigan Tech. Bob teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of forest products marketing. Prior to completing his Ph.D., he was a sales representative for eight years in the Midwest for a major U.S. forest products corporation and for six years was a production manager at a wood treating plant. Bob teaches forest products marketing and sales workshops throughout the United States. He has authored over 200 articles on forest products and managed over $2 million in research.Specialties: Sales, marketing forest products, business management, strategic management and international trade in forest products.
