Robert G. Stape, Jr., MBA is the Chief Operating Officer / Senior Vice President / Corporate Compliance Officer of Goodwill of Southwestern Pennsylvania located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has been employed by Goodwill SWPA since 2001. Robert graduated from Geneva College, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Human Resources, and Waynesburg University, where he received his Master's Degree in Business Administration.Robert is a proven leader and manager with a successful record of accomplishments in public, private, and non-profit organizations and has provided consultations to peer groups throughout the United States in both for-profit and non-profit sectors. His balanced leadership and management approach provides data-driven results through enhanced staff development and performance expectations.With proven business acumen and experience in new and existing business development, community development, fundraising, foundation, government grant writing, and program and services development, Robert has achieved positive business and mission-based outcomes that improve the lives of persons served and the community. He has led Goodwill SWPA in budget development, analytics, fiscal oversight, strategic planning, and implementation, troubleshooting and resolving problem profit centers, and building strong management teams. He has also established loss prevention policies and audit systems, merchandising, and public relations strategies, developed customer service standards, set revenue goals with high customer satisfaction, has an exceptional knowledge of business hardware and software, and has demonstrated exemplary skills in training as a facilitator. Recently, Robert served as an executive leader of Goodwill SWPA’s “Strengthen Lives, Building Community’s Capital Campaign which raised $11 million against a $10 million goal. His roles within the Campaign included overall campaign strategy, case statement development, and significant gift identification and solicitation.Additionally, Robert has a proven record of building strong working relationships through open and direct communications with the board, all levels of management, staff, and community stakeholders in Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
