- Develop and maintain a high-fidelity, multi-physics, fixed-wing aircraft simulation code called Kestrel. Kestrel is one application of the larger Department of Defense (DoD) HPCMP CREATE Project.- Kestrel is a combination of Python, Fortran, C, and C++ languages using the MPI library to run in parallel to achieve better processing efficiency and run larger problem sets than serial code could achieve.- Generalized performance, maintenance, and usability improvements to the Kestrel CFD solver (KCFD) covering a wide variety of user requests and forward-looking guidance.- Added a coarse-grain parallelization strategy similar to OpenMP but implemented with MPI and shared memory to allow for easier deployment of current Kestrel source code.- Frequently tasked with conducting code reviews for other Kestrel developers and providing guidance using my expertise in Kestrel data structures and parallel code performance.- Created a standalone MPI testing utility designed to help diagnose problems with MPI performance on DoD Supercomputing Resource Center machines without requiring linking to the Kestrel software stack.
