Human Resources Analyst
CurrentUsing extensive knowledge of Human Resources laws and procedures, provides expert support and guidance to employees and management personnel in the areas of compensation, employee relations, job analysis, writing job descriptions, annual assessments and appraisals, staffing and recruitment, vacancy announcements, and HR database products and report generation.Serves as the Contribution-based Compensation System (CCS) Process Coordinator. CCS is used both for setting the pay of new hires and for an annual review and adjustment of the salaries of roughly 500 employees. Positions covered range from professional and scientific jobs to administrative and working class jobs. Coordinator duties include being the resident expert on CCS and the Contribution-based Compensation System Software (C2S2) as well as associated regulations (Federal compensation and labor laws, Fair Labor Standards Act, etc.), advising management on pay setting of new and existing employees including bonuses and other incentives, advising management on the use of C2S2, leading an end-of-year meeting with senior management with the purpose of normalizing salaries across the organization, and working with the corporate office to help define improvements in the CCS process.Provides technical support and guidance to in the areas of recruitment and placement for primarily high-tech science and engineering jobs. Recruitment duties include planning and attending recruitment events, soliciting job applications by writing and posting online announcements for open positions, reviewing candidates and procuring and maintaining relationships with college and university career centers, academic program heads, and students across the United States. Placement duties include reviewing job applications, verifying and assessing applicant qualifications, and pay setting.
