Dr. Steiner has published and presented widely on online science education at both the national and international level.Dr. Steiner also provides leadership at the Museum in climate change education and was a lead organizer of the recent Building a Resilient Future: New York’s Climate Education Movement event at AMNH, which was attended by over 300 teachers, policy makers and thought leaders.Dr. Steiner also serves as a member of the adjunct faculty within the Department of Physics at Queens College as well as within the Program in Science Education at Columbia University’s Teachers College. He is passionate about the purposeful use of educational technologies in classrooms and teaching laboratories and has previously led the Committee on Educational Technologies of the American Association of Physics Teachers. He has a B.A. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley and a Ph.D. in experimental elementary particle physics from Yale University. He is the author or co-author of more than 40 scientific publications.
