After leaving university worked in the Company’s Motor Division for several years to develop the business prior to disposal. Started working on the administration side of the Laundry Business and computerised the accounts systems, then moved on to write bespoke Laundry software and implement this throughout the Company’s sites.Became Joint Managing Director in 1995, along with my twin brother, and carried out a restructuring of the Company, which involved reducing the number of production units along with massively increasing the production capacity of the remaining sites. Paragon and its associated companies were regarded as a market leader in terms of production efficiency, utility consumption and use of technology within their operations. Grew the turnover to over £30M, employed just under 700 staff and had a company that we were really proud off and hopefully our team enjoys coming to work everyday!In 1995 opened the Warehouse Climbing centre in Gloucester - was back then one of the best climbing centres in the UK and in 2022 will be opening another climbing centre which will again restore our position of running one of the best climbing centres in the UK - look out for 270 Climbing Park in Gloucestershire soon.Since the sale of the Paragon in 2015 have continued to run NewGen which consults on a wide range of laundry solutions throughout the world. NewGen is proud to have built some of the biggest and best laundries in the MENA region.
