Sully has over 50 years of museum program, management, education, and fundraising experience. From 1990 to 2006, he served as the Associate Director of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History, where he managed all aspects of exhibition, education, public programs and development of national educational programs. Sully holds a graduate degree in management of non-profit organizations from the University of Rochester and has taught graduate seminars in museum studies at The George Washington University and Johns Hopkins University. His eclectic academic interests, managerial knowhow, extensive museum experience, and visionary leadership have made him a highly-regarded authority in the field.
