Developed an efficient structural rearrangement to convert the methanoquinolizidine-class of akuammilines to the pyrrolidinoindoline-class, resulting in the first total syntheses of 10-demethoxynorvincorine and 10-demethoxyvincorine, as well as unnatural derivatives. Harnessed heterocyclic arynes and Pd-catalysis to generate pi-extended heterocycyles for linear two-coordinate complexes in OLEDs.

Developed assay and impurity methods for multiple forms of drug products, while working closely with in-house formulations and inhalation departments.

Provided reliable wet chemistry techniques during method validations, stability studies, and investigational protocols per cGMP/GLP guidelines.

Worked with analytical department. Tasks included preparation of various solutions such as mobile phases and sample diluents; developmental stability sample and formulation preparation; received SOP and GMP training.

Worked under analytical science officer acquiring and analyzing Raman spectra of chemicals and chemical mixtures. Also worked closely with programming team to design and calibrate the color analysis of prototype instrument.

Worked in post-doctoral study of microbubble synthesis for oil well detection under ocean crust. Conducted acoustic experiments to understand basic properties of various types of microbubbles. Collaborated with biology department to design experimental set up of further acoustic studies.
