Robert Tanaka has extensive experience in the planning, design, and management of institutional, commercial and residential landscape projects. Mr. Tanaka’s creativity and design skills are nicely balanced by his technical knowledge and hands-on approach to managing complex projects.Mr. Tanaka is a landscape architect licensed with the state of California (no. 3199, 1989). He graduated in 1979 at the University of California at Santa Cruz with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Environmental Studies. In 1983, he received his Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Upon graduation, he worked in northern California for several landscape architectural firms, most notably with Sasaki Associates in San Francisco. In 1994, Tanaka Design Group was established in San Francisco.
