Lebanon Community School Corporation

I serve as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) responsible for the educational, instructional, administrative, fiscal, logistical, and accountability functions of the organization. During my tenure I believe that unparalleled levels of student achievement and instructional accountability have been attained and validated through several key recognitions and accomplishments. Most notably is the corporation’s recent recognition as an Indiana Exemplary School corporation. This recognition was the result of our academic state ranking moving from 123 (out of 293 statewide) in 2005 to 17th in 2009. During that same period of time our schools have received state recognition for double digit increases in math and language arts achievement scores, attendance and graduation rate. Lebanon High School was named one of the best high schools in America by U.S. News and World Report. All of these achievements coincided with a reduction of our public tax levy by over 42% during that same time span. While our collective key performance indicators dramatically increased, our fiscal dependence on tax dollars decreased.

Lebanon Middle School

. With a professional staff 67.My primary responsibilities were the supervision and management of all educational programs, instructional staff, para-professionals and real property assets. During my first year I supervised and coordinated the completion of a 14.8 million dollar facility renovation project. The building project came in under budget, and in advance of the estimated completiondate. During my tenure I have implemented several curriculum changes that have resulted in the addition of foreign language and computing technology course offerings. I also developed several parent involvement programs that resulted in a 60% increase in parental involvement in school programs.

Responsible for the supervision and coordination of all administrative and educational computing functions for 5 High Schools, 4 Middle Schools, and 11 Elementary Schools, with a total student population of 16,000. I developed and presented in-service training on instructional and administrative computer utilization for over600 teachers and administrators. I was responsible for the development and implementation of Computer Based Instruction (CBI) curriculum.
