I enrolled at Universal Technician Institute in 2000. I graduated with an Associates Degree in Occupational Studies in 2001. Which was in heating and air conditioning. From there I really started learning. I did a lot of new construction work from 2002 to 2004. In 2003 I shifted to a more service and repair focused position. I did a lot of service and repair for 5 years. I also replaced many dead ac units that I came across during that time. I also took all the classes that the Phoenix Heat Pump Council offered. I became a certified "master heat pump technician". That was a good feeling. Learned a lot more about thermal dynamics, air flow dynamics, fluid dynamics, load calculation, and troubleshooting and repair. I was feeling pretty good about HVAC and felt like I had learned a lot about it as a whole. I decided to go back to school and learn even more so I could take the Arizona Contractors Exam for HVAC. I passed the test first time. I had to learn more about the legal side, buisiness side, and also learn more about boilers, furnaces, chillers, electrical, and the code book. The international mechanical code book is actually fun to learn. I started Arctic Fox Air Conditioning and Heating LLC in August of 2008. Since then I have focused on residential heating and cooling. We service, repair and replace hvac units across the Phoenix area. Growth has been steady and constant. In 2022 Arctic Fox passed 1M in gross sales and service. All in all, hvac has been a great industry to be in. I'm happy to help anyone that needs hvac help.
