I am currently working on the Forties Charlie platform as a Chief Mechanic• The same roles and responsibilities as rig mechanic below with the addition of:-• Training, mentoring and responsibility for nightshift and trainee mechanics.• Report daily operations to lead maintenance engineer (onshore) and actively participate in weekly conference calls.• Report and record defects to onshore lead maintenance engineer, plan and execute workscopes to return equipment to service• Use of Archers, Setting the standard Management System, to follow and update company procedures.• Competent in the use of SAP to check the look ahead of planned maintenance and plan accordingly.• Implementation of workorders and completion of all relevant documentation associated.• Liaise with Senior Toolpusher to plan and organise of upcoming daily workorders, including implementation of permits and isolations.• Inspect derrick as per client specification, record, raise corrective and repair any noted defects.• Plan and report of potential break downs with onshore maintenance support engineers.• Order materials as and when required through the Archer IFS system.• Update all relevant certification onto the Archer sharepoint system• Comply with offshore certification standards and that all pressure tested equipment is within calibration.
