Robert joined Constable in 2012 and became a Partner in 2016. He enjoys dealing with a wide range of clients and has a particular interest in the VAT issues affecting the insurance and financial services sector, agent / principal business structures, construction liability and land and property.Robert began his career in VAT when he joined HMRC as a VAT Inspector in 2004, completing both its VAT Officer training and the more advanced VAT Legal and Technical qualification. He then spent four years visiting a wide range of businesses gaining a valuable insight into HMRC's systems and approach. In 2008 he left HMRC when he was headhunted to become a VAT Manager with a regional firm of accountants. As a VAT Manager, Robert dealt with a range of VAT issues including partial exemption, VAT registration, VAT inspections, challenging VAT assessments and VAT planning.Constable VAT Consultancy is one of the largest independent VAT Consultancy firms in the UK with offices in London and on the Essex / Suffolk border.
