Solutions Architect And Lead Developer And FounderIndependent ConsultantDuluth, Ga, Us -
Solutions Architect / Lead Developer/FounderIndependent Consultant Jan 1998 - PresentGreater Atlanta Area• Suntrust Bank. Built RPA integrations using OpenSpan technology to enhance call center processes for mortgage and credit card payments and various customer service processes. Using OpenSpan, tied together legacy Windows applications, legacy green-screen queries and browser lookups. By integrating these disparate legacy applications and automating the execution and transfer of data between these applications the execution times were reduced by between 25% and 75% vs traditional human manual click, drag, cut and paste operations. • Fleet Boston: Created strategy for how branch teller hardware-software would be deployed in two mergers that included 500 new branches in one merger and 350 new branches in another. The acquired bank had similar desktop hardware as FB but peripheral hardware such as printers were different technology (Craden vs NCR). Recommendations included reimaging of desktop hardware with legacy FB software and reuse of printers by developing new device drivers. FB retained my services to develop new printer device drivers so $1 million of printers from the acquisition could be redeployed and made compatible with the legacy FB desktop software. • Bank of America acquired a large Boston based bank with 1500 branches. Bank of America did not want to purchase all new teller equipment. I was retained to develop memory swapping methodologies that permitted the addition of B of A transactions and extended the life of their teller product for 3 years, which was their goal. • Built RPA for teller software compile and link executables using VBScript. Also built in automated error handling, including deletion of files and restart of the build process. Fully automated the entire build when possible but in some cases prompting for human interaction was required. • Integrated LDAP into the S1 Platform product using Visual C++ to support SSO (Single Sign On) -

Oversaw the implementation.• Full responsibility for total IT budget of over $2 million dollars annually• Led a team of seven people, including a server administrator, desktop technician, and five developers. Directed day to day activities including all hiring and termination decisions, annual reviews, raises and bonuses.• Oversaw a company move from California to Georgia. Senior Software EngineerIndependent Consultant Jan 1987 - Jan 1995Dayton, Ohio Area• NCR migrated their server platform from a proprietary OS they called TMX to a Unix platform. NCR contracted me to write a set of API’s that simulated TMX functionality in a Unix environment. The purpose of this was to aid clients who had written teller and platform applications over TMX to easily migrate to Unix. I then unit tested all of the functions and subsequently worked with one of NCR’s major clients, a bank in New York City to migrate their application successfully from TMX to Unix with virtually no changes to their application code. • Wrote a document printer simulator for Bank of America so that Diebold printers could be redeployed into branches where NCR equipment was being used. The software accepted NCR printer commands from the application and converted them into Diebold commands, eliminating the need to purchase several thousand new printers in an acquisition. • Developed numerous interfaces into banking host systems for NCR teller, ATM and platform products. Communications protocols were SNA/SDLC, Bisync, ISO Async, Netbios, TCP/IP and Ethernet. • Extensive C experience. I estimate that I wrote 50,000 lines of new code over a 15 year period.

Developer / System Analyst / Project LeadCulverin Corporation Jan 1985 - Jan 1987Dayton, Ohio Area• Led a team of programmers that fulfilled contracts for the ATM (Automated Teller Machine) division of the company. The ATM division developed custom applications for the retail banking industry. Led as few as three programmers, and as many as twenty during a special six month ground up teller application development project. • Using a combination of Unix Shell Scripts and custom executables written in C and Assembler language I created an interactive RPA front end question and answer session that built files with parameters and also dynamically built shell scripts that ran the build process for an ATM application executable. The combination of dynamically built shell scripts in addition to toggles that changed compilation configuration plus files that were read dynamically by the ATM application customized the build for new customers. • Directed a team of programmers that initially developed proprietary ATM product. • Led more than a dozen project teams to design and install customized applications for banks around the USA • Responsible upgrades and bug fixes to core ATM code and custom generator
