This has included delivery of significant government policy through the drafting and implementation of the National Space Strategy as well as building cooperative links with partners across government, academia, industry and private investment.The central theme of my work within UK Space Agency has ultimately been in management of the strategic demands of high ambition and opportunity against credible delivery in a challenging fiscal environment. I have successfully adapted to this function by immersion in the world of investment as government looks increasingly to act by leveraging wider society to maximise collective impacts. Show less

As part of the Government's response to the 2022 energy crisis, I took a voluntary loan to deliver project management and policy development functions across multiple energy related projects for BEIS. This work made use of my skills and experience in project management, risks analysis, briefing and delivery at pace in high-pressure environments.

Constitutional level oversight for the design and implementation of intergovernmental policy agreements (common frameworks) between UK Government and the devolved administrations. This role required considerable intergovernmental and interdepartmental relationship management along with the capacity to successfully engage with key industry stakeholders in technical areas of WTO and other international trading agreements.My specialism within this role was developing cross-departmental and administrative agreements in areas of food and environmental policy. These areas demanding special sensitivity to issues of strategy, international relations and obligations, future trade policy as well as ultimately ensuring that arrangements were fit to protect public health and prosperity. It further involved engagement with Geographic Indication policy, UK positions and adherence to Codex Alimentarius and understanding the motivations of global partners toward future UK regulatory policy.
