Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), or drones, can offer a flexible and efficient alternative for the distribution of relief goods (e.g., food, shelter, and water). My research concerns the development of simulation models, decision support systems, and planning methods for UAV-based logistics in disaster areas. Using operations research, simulation, reinforcement learning, and data science, I aim to realize flexible and scalable solutions to improve humanitarian logistic response after any disaster.

My MSc assignment/internship at the R&D department of Slimstock, where I took Slimstocks first steps into Data Science. The subject of my thesis was demand forecasting and inventory management of new products. I build machine learning models (clustering, random forest, quantile regression forest) to forecast demand without historical demand data (predictive analytics) and I integrated the process of forecasting and inventory management of new products (prescriptive analytics).

Student assistant for several courses and projects, e.g. Operations Research, Heuristics, Simulation and programming with Microsoft VBA. Tasks like answering questions during tutorials and projects and examining of the assignments of students. As a mentor, I showed potential students how it is like to be a student, including the contents and opportunities of my study.

My BSc assignment/internship at the Global Supply Chain team within the Milk Valorisation & Allocation department. I wrote my thesis about improving the valorisation within the tactical planning with econometric modeling. Besides, I worked as Enterprise S&OP developer to improve the dairy supply chain model (~1B kg milk/month) and automated the process of reporting and data visualisation.

Part-time board member of the study assocaition for Business & IT students. I was responsible for the financial management.

In this full-time board year, I was responsible for the financial management. Besides that, I guided and advised several organisational committees and was responsible for the promotion of activities. Stress the largest association on the campus of the University of Twente with around 1900 members. Stress represents the students of International Business Administration, Industrial Engineering & Management and Business & IT.
