As VP of IT for Pima Federal Credit Union I am responsible for the development and implementation of long range strategic technology plans, overseeing the IT budget, and provide guidance to the IT team. The financial sector is heavily monitored with ever changing laws and regulations around preserving the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of electronic data. I therefore work closely with our risk management team performing 3rd party vendor due diligence, risk assessments, internal and external IT audits, and staff training. I have a strong background in IT security, holding CISSP and CNSS certifications, which I draw upon to support the team in monitoring our intrusion prevention system and evaluating emerging threats.
