This field-based role involves travel around northern England and Scotland to airports, prisons, cargo and anywhere that x-ray security systems exist . Installing, repairing and servicing of dual Xray and CT equipment used to screen passenger baggage and cargo.⦁ Perform preventative maintenance and break-fix repairs to all company products and systems to ensure disruptive issues are pro-actively averted.⦁ Installation of all company products and systems and related activities such as; site visits / commissioning / surveying / Critical examinations etc.

This field based role involves extensive travel around northern England and Scotland in a hospital / laboratory / private dental practice environment. Installing, repairing and servicing various high value medical equipment including Intra/extra oral x-ray machinery, 3D CBCT machines, 3D intra oral scanners, phosphor plate scanners, client/server networks for dental practice software and imaging solutions.* Perform preventative maintenance and break-fix repairs to all company products and systems to ensure disruptive issues are pro-actively averted.* Installation of all company products and systems and related activities such as; site visits / commissioning / surveying etc.* Providing technical assistance and training in new installations prior to handover to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. This includes machine training and software / diagnostic imaging training.* IT systems and network installations as part of the overall machine / software installations where necessary. Based on a Windows server 2012 and Windows 7/10 environment.

• Providing 2nd line support for a highly secure Windows server 2003/2008 / XP / 7 network.• Use of ITIL methodologies in support and delivery of IT projects.• Security auditing and maintenance of NTFS permissions.• Windows Server Administration (Active Directory / DNS / DFS / replication / GPO’s)• Remote server decommissioning.• PKI and cryptographic key management.

This customer facing role involves being part of several parts of the business. Primary roles involved• Hardware and software installation for company products such as plotters, printers, engraving, routing and rapid prototyping machines.• Installation of bespoke CAD/CAM software and interfacing to installed machinery.• Providing training in the use of the machines along with use on CAD/CAM software as required. • Supporting customers via email, telephone or site visit to help resolve software or hardware faults.

My main duties in this high volume / microchip manufacturing plant are as follows:• Maintaining and operating 60+ microprocessor electrical testing stations including renewing / producing wiring harnesses, servicing and repairing test heads.• Installing and calibrating additional / replacement test equipment to required parameters and tolerances.• Fault finding machine errors and repairing or reporting to Process engineers.

• Using CAD/CAM software (Genesis & AutoCAD) to interpret and analyse mechanical and electrical printed circuit board data and manipulating to ensure product manufacture is efficient and error free.• Developing shell scripts on HP-UX / Sun Solaris / Linux workstations in TCL/TK or C-shell to automate the front end engineering function for the company.• Managing and maintaining the design databases for the engineering department including backups.• Producing technical sales and marketing literature.• Contributed to the development of EDIF 4.0.0, a vendor neutral file format for Electronic Design. This latest format included PCB extensions as a direct result of my contribution.
