Worked with NYC Service, Office of the Mayor of New York, on a public/private grant project between several City Agencies and New York Cares' Community Partners. Coordinated presentations that brought hunger/poverty related promotional materials on city services/benefits directly to the clients of those Community Partners.

After being selected to participate in the NYC Civic Corps (an AmeriCorps program managed by NYC Service and the Mayor's Office). I was placed at NYCCAH where I have worked to create a skills-based volunteer program, as part of the Reducing Hunger Volunteer Impact Initiative (RHVII). The RHVII is an initiative made up of 16 city agencies and community-based organizations working together to help reduce food insecurity in New York City. The skills-based volunteer program surveys and assesses the organizational needs of emergency food programs (EFPs): e.g., soup kitchens and food pantries. Then finds and recruits volunteer pro bono professionals to work with the EFP to address their needs in areas such as technology, database management, legal and translation services, to name a few. All in the effort to increase the EFP's capacity to better serve their clients and community. Also organized educational workshops to help large numbers of EFPs in some of the greatest needs areas such as grant writing, fund raising, and volunteer management.

On and off freelancing for two years, probably more off as I was trying to find my way into the non-profit world.

Co-founded and co-lead the CRM creative group within Euro RSCG Tonic, a consumer wellness agency. Our CRM creative teams worked online and off. Digital: eCRM email programs, websites and banners. Traditional: print ads, direct mail programs and patient education collateral. Working on both branded and unbranded consumer pharmaceutical communications. Managed group hiring, work allocation, schedules and budgets. Worked closely with account and planning teams to review and approve creative briefs. Worked closely with creative teams throughout a project, from briefing to client presentation to final production. Worked closely with Clients to make sure all work meet their legal and marketing objectives, and graphic standards. All while creating effective, award winning communications. Some of our Clients: GSK, Genentech, Sanofi, Merck and Astellas.

i2i Communications, aka: Team South, aka: Merkley Direct, aka: Javelin Direct NYC, the agency had many names and locations over the many years I worked there. I began working on Direct Marketing/CRM for Bell South. Later became one of the Creative leads on Pfizer's Lipitor. Where we created a large, awarding winning CRM program. Which included DRTV acquisition, a large multi-touch direct mail program and interactive patient education materials. Also helped to win the GSK/Schering-Plough Levitra account.

2/98 - 12/98: Created and managed a loyalty program for Bell Atlantic (Verizon) that had hundreds of local versions. Worked on strategy, art direction, managing content to final print production. After creating first version, worked with Printers and Data Management to create a second more cost effective version.Also at Draft from 7/95 - 10/96: Was on the new business team that pitched and won the Bell Atlantic (Verizon) account for the agency. After the win, worked on Bell Atlantic DRTV, print and direct mail.

Created DRTV for Sprint, print ads for Freddie Mac, customer loyalty newsletters for Kodak and direct mail for the US Marines.

Helped launch the AT&T Universal Card: acquisition, retention and card member services. Also created the AT&T International Rewards loyalty program.
