These interdependent systems maintain the IPv4 & IPv6 address and name spaces of the production network, managing the configurations of hundreds of name servers that host tens of thousands of domains, which today service a demand upwards of a hundred-thousand queries per second while successfully meeting five-9s reliability over the last eighteen years.Recognized as an industry DNS expert, one vendor even named a DNS product feature the “Whelton Defense”.
