As a Mechanical Commissioning Agent with Hood-Patterson & Dewar, my responsibilities include mechanical testing, commissioning, QA/QC and providing start up and acceptance testing on water and air side systems mostly in mission critical data centers. With over 20 years experience in the controls industry, I have worked with a vast array of different clients from diverse industries. I also have experience working with general high rise office spaces, pharmaceutical, bio-tech and manufacturing facilities.

Commission newly installed Honeywell controllers and set up communications protocol (LONWORKS, BACNET, MODBUS, IP or P2) Checkout and commission the Building Management System EBI (Enterprise Building Integrator) for correct links to graphics, point names and trending per installation or customer request Install software and hardware for newly installed building automation systems and fix any hardware issues found Check I/O for correct point configurations and behaviors and fine tune if necessary Verify software is controlling the system according to the Sequence of Operations and correct any discrepancies found by modifying or fine tuning system software code or parameters Develop software program to control mechanical equipment according to Sequence of Operations or customers desired sequences. Use trends, software simulators and other methods to determine long term stability of the installation Facilitate the re-engineering effort or system re-design if original engineering scope was not met Perform 3rd party integrations with other vendors with communication packages such as BACNET, MODBUS, and LonWorks Set up Honeywell Variable Frequency Drive parameters for I/O and Motor Control Work with Electrical Contractor to ensure the installation wiring is accurate and completed in a timely manor Set up and assign work to external vendors as required Keep track of changes made to original scope of job and update all control drawings and sequences with any changes for final “As Built” documentation drawings

Perform preventive maintenance tasks and diagnostics on HVAC automation system, Insight database graphics and components per service agreement Optimize and troubleshoot Siemens Apogee DDC control systems and Insight graphics Complete repairs, replacements and upgrades to automation controls and front end PC Assist with coordination of electrical installation and external vendors as required Execute site acceptance test and automation startups for service installed jobs Work with customers to enhance energy management systems Set up and maintain Windows SQL server database for InfoCenter trend historian Set up Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system (InfoCenter/Insight) to store long term trend data needed for critical areas where the FDA or other governing agency may require it Execution of IQ/ OQ protocols primarily in the pharmaceutical market Develop, write, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for the Atlanta Branch calibration program for temperatures, humidity's and pressures Perform On-Site Calibration of sensors and instrumentation according to Atlanta Branch SOP’s or customer SOP’s when required Ensure calibration standards meet requirements for on site calibration Design calibration forms in Microsoft Access and compile database for on site field calibrations 10+ years experience in setting up HVAC controls for clean rooms, data centers and laboratories to comply with cGMP’s Experienced with fume hood containment air flow testing, safety and room pressurization techniques

Develop Sequence of Operations for mechanical equipment Program logical controllers on a Moore APACS+ system Program HMI to collect point information and link to graphics Design and execute procedures for site acceptance test Execute startup, checkout, and commissioning for control systems Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues customer may have with control system Optimize system by reviewing trend data and making necessary adjustments to programs and/or points

Respond to customer service calls and check indicated points of trouble Check and test system components to diagnose trouble or defect and identify corrective action and repairs Complete repairs, replacements and upgrades to automation system Assist in system checkout and automation startups for service installed jobs Deliver technical support, direction and operator coaching to the end user Work with external service providers and vendors to find solutions to problems that are interrelated between vendors

Develop technical testing procedures for quality checks on finished products per ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) standards Test developing new products for strength specifications and ensure existing products meet desired specifications Supervision of a crew of at least five technicians Track hours of Lab Technicians and train technicians as necessary to perform assigned tasks according to ASTM standards Ensure all product testing deadlines are met and that technicians are testing products using the correct methods according to ASTM standards

Perform various chemical and physical tests on finished products for the final quality check before distribution Determine adjustments to batch if testing indicates missing ingredients and report deficiency to production department Maintain accurate and complete log books in the Lab
