About Robert Wilcox

I am currently working toward my Master of Electrical and Computer Engineering from Portland State University, where I am currently an instructor of record for a course on microprocessor interfacing and embedded systems.As an instructor of record, I teach the hardware and software design of embedded microprocessor systems, covering topics such as sensor, transducer, and actuator interfacing, microprocessor-based process control, Real Time Operating System operation, device driver creation, intelligent robotics applications, and Unified Modeling Language introduction. I also supervise weekly laboratory sessions, where I guide students through hands-on projects and experiments. I leverage my critical thinking, multitasking, and analytical skills to deliver engaging and effective instruction, as well as to troubleshoot and solve complex problems. I enjoy collaborating with other faculty members and students, and I strive to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.I am particularly interested in the boundaries between hardware and software. I am currently seeking either an engineering co-op or an entry level position in embedded systems. I would love to work in the automotive, aerospace, or biomedical industries.
