Provide technical assistance to PdM Coordinators at AECI coal-fired plants. Also provide PM/PdM program guidence to the plants to better utilize PdM technologies used to monitor and troubleshoot rotating equipment in the plants.

Provide consultation to clients in need of establishment or evaluation of Predictive and Preventative maintenance programs.

Participated on team utilizing corporate and local procurement department to compile spare parts resources from vendors and/or company inventory for Wet Flue Gas Desulfurization (WFGD) plant. Also responsible for writing maintenance procedures for WFGD equipment.Consulted with equipment vendors to determine appropriate commissioning and long-term spares.With assistance from the local procurement department, determined spare equipment quantities based on storage levels on site and at other system plants.Track equipment purchase costs to maintain budgetary goals for WFGD plant spares. Wrote preventative and predictive maintenance procedures for WFGD motors, pumps, fans, compressors, and various instrumentation.

Provided consultation to the resident Predictive Maintenance Engineers at system coal-fired plants, addressing various maintenance and programmatic issues. Provided assistance performing equipment monitoring using various Predictive Maintenance technologies for routine and troubleshooting purposes. Facilitated departmental Diversity training.• Conducted a study of the stations’ Predictive Maintenance programs to analyze their effectiveness in providing consistent monitoring, effective use of the established reporting system, and provided suggestions to improve the program.• Assumed responsibility for the Bearing Failure Program which catalogued the bearing failures at the plants to correlate the types of failures prevalent in various types of bearings.• Assisted in troubleshooting the need for and the performance of balancing various equipment (fans, pumps, turbines).

Utilized Oil Analysis, Infrared Thermography, and Vibration Analysis to monitor the operation of rotating equipment to determine when this equipment may fail. Predicting these types of failures accurately allows operations to continue uninterupted and minimize unexpected shutdowns.

Maintained full accountability for analyzing performance data to track functional failures and unavailability for reporting and for inclusion into plant indicators. Assisted operating crews in normal day-to-day operation of the station by assisting in maintaining shift logs and records on the performance of multiple plant systems. Established and monitored plant parameters and system performance and evaluated safety and non-safety system operability for the Liquid Radwaste, Solid Radwaste, Reactor Core Isolation Cooling, Fuel Pool Cooling and Clean-up, Condensate Clean-up, and Plant Service Water systems. Coordinated scheduled work activities in conjunction with the work management system and wrote test procedures for coordinated testing of system design changes to ensure correct installation and maximize system performance.Gained valuable technical training on a variety of operating systems; received in-depth training on Terry Turbine operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting as well as MODICON Program Logic Control operations.Led continuous improvement efforts in mechanical integrity, equipment availability, preventive maintenance, and safety awareness for the maintenance and engineering departments.Participated in six (6) refueling outages. Assisted the Condensate System Engineer in the inspection of the Main Condensers (steam side and cooling water side) and Hotwells for last five outages.
