Nearly 20 years on Parliament Hill with the NDP allowed me to deepen my understanding of legislative processes and advocacy. Early in my career, I was honored to receive the Labour Citizen of the Year Award from my Labour Council—an award typically given later in one’s career. This recognition reflected my work building partnerships between labour and community organizations, a commitment that continues to guide me today. Currently, my work is focused on advancing watershed and community health in BC, fostering resilience for both people and ecosystems.
