Exceptional Events offers a full range of event planning services customized to fit each client’s needs. As President, I begin by creating a budget and a planning timeline. I then determine the components and structure of the event, what it will look like from the moment the first participant arrives to the final farewell. I will explore venues and provide clients with site selection options, negotiate contracts and make all arrangements with the host sites, hotels, caterers, vendors, technology providers and entertainment. Over the 17 years I worked at Lesley I developed a wide range of experience and responsibilities. Some of those included:• Planning and implementing an annual two day conference for over 2,000 early childhood educators that included two keynote addresses, 40 workshops and an exhibit hall with 50 vendors. Training and supervising 60 staff members and students who worked the conference. Overseeing everything from registration through evaluation.• Organizing and running the graduation ceremonies for 1,000 graduates and 4,000 guests. Coordinating both the comprehensive University ceremony and the individual School ceremonies. This included site selection, contract negotiations, facilities management, stage management and working with the various College divisions and administrative offices to create the structure and flow of the ceremonies• Coordinating various development and social events for the President's Office. Managing caterers, facilities and program.• Planning the University holiday parties at numerous venues around the area. Selecting site, caterer and theme. Negotiating contracts, determining floor plan, overseeing event production.• Arranging guest lectures and speaker series.
