Senior Director, It Strategy, Planning & Operations
CurrentChallenged to drive the centralization of strategy, planning, and operations teams, and lead the Software & Information Management IT Organization toward improved alignment and prioritization with strategic objectives. Direct a team of 40, and oversee resource and budget management for organization comprising 400 employees and a $55M budget. Asked by HP Software CIO to be a part of a small senior leadership team challenged to design the future state IT for Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Select Accomplishments:—Centralized the organization structure and recruited higher-skilled leadership personnel, establishing design principles, defining charters at the management level, and mapping employee resources based on capabilities.—Designed and executed a service portfolio business model with clear metrics and owners that transformed strategy, planning, and operations team from a tactical mindset to a strategic point of view.—Led the planning and development of strategy and plans to implement HP’s software products in IT, partnering with software teams on GTM product offerings, and documenting experiences for HP Discover event.—Partnered with executive team in the definition and creation of a new operating model, workforce strategy, budget, and service offering for operations on “day 2+” following company separation.—Established a common business capability taxonomy for the future state of the IT organization for Hewlett Packard Enterprise business, driving key conversations around strategic, core, or foundational capabilities, integrating strategies and priorities using the taxonomy, and identifying projects within a 3-year roadmap for an IT-enabled business.
