Mr. Alberti is a cloud security architect and holds the SABSA Institute’s Foundations certification, the GCLD from GIAC, and the CISSP and ISSMP from ISC2. As a co-author of the Internet Gopher protocol (RFC 1436) his work creating the world's first searchable Internet browser helped foster the growth of the World Wide Web, providing for the rapid distribution of new technologies and software. Gopher was the first tool to abstract data content away from its location - prior to Gopher you had to know the IP address of a resource to locate it via FTP.In 1983 created GāmBit MultiSystems which pioneered commercial e-mail, chat, and interactive games. GāmBit's "Scepter of Goth" game is recognized as the world's first commercial massively multi-user interactive online role-playing game (MMORPG) by Internet historian Prof. Richard Bartle of Essex University in his book "Designing Virtual Worlds" (p. 35, New Riders, 2003, ISBN 978-0131018167).
