Designed and developed loosely coupled server architectures using P2P for discovery of services, hot failover and load balancing (Swing, OpenGL, Jetty, JGroups, ZK, Hibernate, MotoMesh). This project has won awards internally and a 2007 Duke Award at JavaOne.Designed and developed software for video playback and video recording from various digital cameras. Supported multiple and simultaneous video feeds and AES encryption. Servers embedded a web server and database for administration and integration via web services. Used Java, generics, NetBeans, Swing, Jetty, Axis, ZK, MPlayer, UPNP, JUnit, hibernate, hsqldb, Log4J, and JMX.Developed an online GIS based situational awareness product for data distribution, sharing, and collaboration. Used custom AJAX/DHTML, JSP, ESRI ArcIMS, Java, Oracle 9, Apache, Tomcat, Axis, JUnit, JMX, Subversion, and SOA web services to integrate various data sources (weather, radiation, fire, alarms, GPS). Also used ESRI ArcObjects and ArcGIS Server for other GIS mapping projects.Developed chemical and hazardous waste tracking systems using database driven web applications, desktop clients, and Pocket PC handheld applications.
