With the formation of the new MassDOT, which brought all the various Massachusetts State transportation agencies together under one organization, a new Office of Real Estate and Asset Development was formed. This new group is charged with generating revenue for MassDOT - which is retained by MassDOT and not returned to the General Fund like all other.

I serve as the Deputy Commissioner for Administration. MassHighway has almost 2000 employees and has a total budget of almost $1 billion annually. Most of my responsibilties involve dealing with finance and budget issues. I work directley with the Commissioner on many other issues that involve the administrative operations of this very large organization.

I managed a 12 person unit that was responsible for managing all of the real estate needs for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
