Responsible for the technical operation of the vessels of Bernuth Lines, optimizing procedures and processes, class and flag state issues. Pre-purchase inspections, condition surveys, dry dock repairs cooperating in the fleet management department with other entities - internal as well as external. Implemented an Environmental Management System on the company’s vessels. Conducted ISM, ISPS and Environmental audits. As Technical Manager, conducted inspection of vessels, prepared repair specifications and oversaw wet- and dry-dock repairs.

Established procedures for purchasing and material management for the ISO 9000 certification. Responsible for an annual spend of $60+ million. Successfully coordinated with engineering, project management and production on new building projects.
