I worked with allocations for clients who had offshore platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. The platforms and clients included Nakika (BP), Pompano (Stone Energy), and Gulfstar One (Williams). While at SGS, I learned the basic operations of offshore platforms, and I worked with clients regularly. I investigated the renewable biopolymers pectin and chitosan. I determined their molecular weights by measuring their viscosities with a viscometer. I analyzed the data using linear regression in MS Excel to determine the technical information. I presented my results to faculty and staff at an end of the summer poster session.

I assisted with the drafting and review process of engineering drawings for US Navy ships. I boarded the ships with engineers to help perform as built checks and help determine how to upgrade electrical systems. I utilized AUTOCAD to make new engineering drawings and edit existing drawings for US Navy ship systems.
