I upgraded the Gulfstar One allocation workbook and procedure to account for current operations. I also updated its Measurement and Allocation agreement, modifying equations and making terminology more clear. For all workbooks, I used VBA to create routines to automate routine procedures,as well as improving existing routines. While at SGS, I learned the basic operations of offshore platforms, and I worked with clients regularly. I was laid off in March 2016 because the continued downturn in the upstream oil and gas industry forced personnel cuts. Show less

Using my knowledge of chemical kinetics, I investigated a possible safety hazard from distillation byproducts. I worked with PROVISION II software to model a distillation tower under acquisition, and propose different processes through it. I simulated potential process feeds through existing equipment and made recommendations. At the conclusion of the summer, I presented my projects to the company president and management. Show less -
Research InternUniversity Of Massachusetts Amherst May 2012 - Jul 2012Amherst, MaI investigated the renewable biopolymers pectin and chitosan. I determined their molecular weights by measuring their viscosities with a viscometer. I analyzed the data using linear regression in MS Excel to determine the technical information. I presented my results to faculty and staff at an end of the summer poster session. -
Engineering InternNorfolk Naval Shipyard May 2011 - Aug 2011Portsmouth, VaI assisted with the drafting and review process of engineering drawings for US Navy ships. I boarded the ships with engineers to help perform as built checks and help determine how to upgrade electrical systems. I utilized AUTOCAD to make new engineering drawings and edit existing drawings for US Navy ship systems.
