Full responsibility of the Transport department operations due to the departure of the Transport Manager September 2016 – December 2016.Line Management of Drivers, and office based Transport team through effective Coaching and Engagement.Managing the day to day operation of the transport department, which includes recruitment, payroll, sickness, welfare visits and late reporting of drivers. Responsible for dispatching drivers, routing, Route cause analysis on late deliveries, and tracking of vehicles. Ensuring compliance with policies, legislation and procedures for Tachograph, Working Time Directive and ‘O Licence’ regulations.Responsible for all H&S and vehicle accident investigations, including Drugs & Alcohol testing.Responsible for creation and monitoring of departmental budgets, forecasting, weekly financial report.Manager in charge, overall responsibility of the Regional Service Centre in the absence of senior managers.

Supporting senior managers in the daily running of the transport office with a team of 36 Hgv drivers, 28 Van drivers and 4 transport supervisors.Responsible for ensuring the departmental budgets and forecast are being met.Responsible for ensuring that all reporting is completed in a timely manner and is accurate.Responsible for ensuring deliveries are sent to stores and customers in a timely and cost-effective manner.Ensuring open communication between the warehouse operatives and transport department.Regular meetings with central planning to ensure the Depot’s delivery schedule is cost effective.Assist with route planning.Ensuring the legal compliance of fleet.
