I was responsible for budgeting, grant writing, and consortium representation. I also worked on development and passage of dedicated funding source for Collier County Public Library capital projects. I was responsible for monitoring expenditures from CCPL budget accounts, including operating, construction, grant and trust funds and for the design/development and construction supervision of Collier County Public Library Capital Projects (four branches and a 36,000 sq. ft. headquarters Library). I brought in approximately $1.5 million dollars in state and federal program and construction grants during my tenure. Worked with local architects on a well reviewed modular library design and published articles on that design ("The Modular Library" in Library Journal, December 1989). I automated all critical library operations including circulation and inventory and served as the Total Quality Management Lead Team Chair for the County's Public Service Division. The Collier County Public Library was the top rated department of government for five straight years in the local government commissioned survey of the public (Fraser & Mohlke Associates survey).
