Primary task was to provide engineering support to the production floor. Program the CNC manchines, design tooling and create drawingsfor the shop. I also assist with quoting and maintain document control. Provide training in various areas. One of my task was to take a look at the forming department and see if there was anything that could be done to improve production, so I value streamed mapped the processes and identified all the waste. Using that information I resequences the processes which enabled the forming department to more than double thier output.

Responsible for developing assembly methods to assist production.Identify and develop machining, assembly and test procedures, processes and related documentation for new and existing products.Understand the electronics and mechanical designs of the gauges and how they operate in the field. Perform calibration and reliability tests of gauges.Support production leaders in training and documentation initiatives to facilitate product release to manufacturing.Implement statistical controls and data collection models in manufacturing.Assist engineering in building a product roadmap that drives product revenue. Value stream mapped the clean room and determined ways to cut the production time of the quartz resonators by 20%. Designed and built an acid proof ultrasonic tank used to remove scaling off of heat treated inconel parts. Designed a work cell layout used to build deep core gauges. This work cell helped to double the production of the gages.

•Member of the team that developed the manufacturing plans and configurations of details and assemblies for the 747-8 front leading edge wing section. This included working with tool design for the assembly fixtures and working with supplier to help get them on line. Help setup SAP within the company. •Analyzed the assemblies and sub-assemblies to determine the necessary tooling needed to build the products and created the build plans for the shop •Preformed tolerance stake up studies to determine manufacturability of assemblies and find way to improve the assembly process to reduce time and cost

Lead a department of fourteen employees.Developed procedures and methods including faro arm procedures, new product development and tool design. Designed tooling for forming aircraft parts including calculating the necessary spring back and runoffs needed to form the parts correctly.Calculated flat pattern layouts of contoured aircraft parts to be cut on a flat bed laser.Reverse-engineered aircraft parts and tools for reproduction using a Faro arm and conventional measuring tools. Investigated all manufacturing issues within the shop and developed solutions to the problems.Analyzed FD&T of new products, and inspected prototypes to the FD&T. Programmed a NTC CNC 5-axis laser using Catia V5 lasercut and a Bystronic Flat bed laser using Bysoft.

•Designed power control centers and switchgear including all the mechanical components fabricated within the shop, including creating the flat layout of sheet metal parts.•Calculated center of gravity of power control centers for shipping and site set up. •Researched and developed new products including a medium voltage switchgear line marketed exclusively by EPSI. •Programmed a Weiderman CNC turret punch used to manufacture sheet metal parts.
