During my twenty years within Accenture's Supply Chain Management Practice, I led projects across Consumer Products, Retail, High-Tech, Health Care, Federal Government and Aerospace & Defense industries. Below are a sample of client engagements: Global Sourcing and Part Standardization (Consumer Products)Partnered with VPs of Procurement, Product Development to lead enterprise wide three-year initiative to simplify products and improve product costs. Led a blended team of twenty consultants and fifty clients across five regions and six product families. Developed global sourcing and product standardization processes. Enhanced integration between product development, procurement and manufacturing. Results: component count reduced by 35%, supplier count reduced by 60%, direct cost reduction 7-10%. Results of the initiative were included in CEO’s presentation to Wall Street Analysts. Product Cost Analytics and Margin Improvement (Consumer Products)Engaged by COO and SVP of Procurement to lead global effort to optimize product costs, enhance cost and procurement analytics and improve product margin. Two year initiative defined, developed and deployed a product cost analysis and optimization tool. Areas addressed included raw material optimization, design simplification and tooling optimization. Results: 2-4% cost improvement across 1,400 products in first 12-15 months generated $60-120M in annual savings.Procurement Merger Integration and Value Realization (Consumer Electronics)Engaged by SVP of Operations to lead pre- and most-merger integration $40B direct material spend. Led twenty-person team that quantified pre-merger synergies across global business units. Developed global strategies and playbook to accelerate value realization. Assessed procurement practices and supporting tools, recommended to-be structure, tools and processes. Results: Drove realization of $380M in merger synergies

Managed Semiconductor Component Engineering Group supporting product design, procurement and manufacturing across part selection, global supplier development, component technical qualification, price negotiation and supplier performance management (6,000 parts and $300M spend). Accountable for component quality, reliability and cost. ▪ Managed software engineering group creating databases and tools for analytics across purchasing, product development, and manufacturing. ▪ Led the strategy development for a process and supporting software tool to assess and mitigate component technical and supply risk. ▪ Developed, implemented, and managed a global semiconductor supplier certification and audit program to enable ship-to-stock and self-qualification. Resulted in 40% reduction in cycle time and 60% savings in qualification costs. Led supplier audit teams and initiated improvement programs at 24 semiconductor suppliers. ▪ Led a team which re-engineered Digital Equipment’s component and supplier engineering functions. Developed processes for design, procurement and manufacturing interaction. Reduced the component qualification cost and product development cycle time by 65%.▪ Established an outsourcing program for distributors to perform value-added manufacturing for electronic components and to distribute these components to Digital’s manufacturing sites.
