About Robert Blanchard, Ii

I am an Exploration Geophysicist with experience in the U.S. Deepwater Gulf of Mexico, Mexico shallow water and deepwater, and W. Africa. I've done regional and subregional mapping for the purpose of play definition, evaluated farm-in opportunities, and worked on lease sale acquisitions. I've also done a lot of prospect maturation work on company held leases, including: well planning, contributing geoscience work to regulatory agencies to acquire permits to drill, modeling and acquisition of VSP, operations planning and monitoring, microseismic acquisition, and shallow hazard detection.Past experience includes: Gulf of Mexico deepwater Exploration (US and Mexico), Gulf of Mexico deepwater Appraisal & Operations, New Ventures in West Africa (Cote d'Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Congo), and onshore, conventional development work in Anadarko and Arkoma basins: preparing and drilling wells in mature fields, analyzing wells for recompletion potential, farm-out and exploitation opportunities. Unconventional exploration in Oklahoma Anadarko and Ardmore basins, Permian Delaware basin of West Texas and New Mexico, and the Great Basin of Nevada, I am a fast learner with particular regard to software, but have working or advanced familiarity with: Landmark prodcuts (Decisionspace, Seisworks, Syntool, well seismic fusion, ZMAP, Geoprobe), PSPRO, ArcGIS, Kingdom Suite, Geographix, Rokdoc, Petrel and Hampson Russell. Some basic experience with Paradigm canvas 3d, Geolog, and others.
