737 Production Manager
CurrentResponsible for managing a team of over 50 employees in a diverse, fast paced work environment. Work together as a team to meet daily deadlines and commitments to our customers. Focused on reducing impacts and delays for customers while focusing on quality and safety.Able to redirect priorities and goals in a rapidly moving work environment.Strive for continuous improvement.Apply Lean principles to daily activities.Facilitate quality assurance of product and strive to reduce quality defects through training of employees through OJT and certification processes.Establish goals for production and coordinate a plan to meet those goals.Confirm production stays on schedule. If delays are expected, communicate with management/internal customers to minimize impact. Work on recovery plan to complete behind schedule work and keep customer informed on any new changes in deadlines.Assure products meet quality standards.Verify employees and equipment meet performance and safety requirements. Perform safety meetings and emphasize. safety daily to protect employees and product from hazards.Ensure employees are certified and trained to complete build and meet delivery and deadlines. Look for opportunities to improve and remove road blocks for team. Engage employees to be innovative and contribute to process improvements.Support employees as questions, concerns, or feedback arises.Supervise staff and delegate tasks to employees.Communicate with other departments such as QA, Engineering, Supply Chain Management and Tooling to facilitate build of product.Communicate with HR and complete administrative tasks such as onboarding employees, training, payroll, and disciplinary actions.Work towards improving processes through audits and compliance walks.5S and tool control to maintain safe and compliant work area.Communicate using Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
