Robert Keating formed Robert Keating Law, P.C. in May 2009 to provide the highest quality legal services to his clients. Before starting this firm, Rob spent several years counseling individuals and businesses at a Boulder, Colorado law firm. Rob’s practice comprises corporate and business law, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, corporate, partnership and individual taxation, estate planning, real estate and entertainment. Very passionate about the environment and renewable energy, Rob served as Author and Research Coordinator for the Energy and Environmental Security Initiative, the predecessor to the Center for Energy and Environmental Security, from August 2006 through March 2007. Rob authored a report to the Colorado Legislature entitled Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading: Emerging Markets and Opportunities for Colorado. This report was commissioned pursuant to C.R.S. § 25-1-1303(2)(c) and examines the impacts, opportunities and risks for Colorado, its citizens and businesses associated with emissions trading systems and concomitant federal, state or regional regulation of greenhouse gas emissions, most notably carbon dioxide. Rob’s report made specific recommendations to Colorado’s General Assembly. Rob attended the University of Colorado School of Law where he was an associate editor of the Law Review, Co-Chair of the University of Colorado School of Law (Rothgerber) Moot Court Board and Treasurer of the Class of 2006. As an undergraduate, Rob attended the University of Washington where he received his B.A. in Business Administration. Rob also served as the 2001 Interfraternity Council President and Senator of the Associated Students of the University of Washington. Rob was born and raised in the state of Washington where he continues to practice law in addition to Colorado. In his free time, Rob enjoys hiking, snowboarding, golfing and otherwise being outdoors.
