Through my experience with AXYS Technologies, I worked with Linux system automation using shell/Bash scripting and Ansible. I also utilized Python with the Pandas, Matplotlib, and Plotly libraries for the management and visualization of environmental data collected via remote offshore buoys.

As a Junior Electrical Engineer with the Autonomous Underwater Vehicles Interdisciplinary Club (AUVIC), I have developed motor controller firmware for ST32F4 MCU using Peripherals such as Timers (PWM out), USART, I2C, GPIO, RCC, and ADC. Additionally, I have experience using Electrical Engineering lab equipment such as an oscilloscope, function generator, and bench power supply through troubleshooting the pre-amp board for the hydrophone. Currently, I am developing an LCD board for the AUV on Altium using SVN to save components. This board utilizes 8-bit serial interface, SPI, CAN bus, USB, UART, and 1-Wire communicate with an LCD, LED strip, Nvidia Jetson, and various other devices on the AUV.

During my work with the BC Waterfowl Society, I worked at Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary with a small team of employees to do everything necessary to maintain the property. Such tasks consisted of the removal of several tonnes of blackberry bushes, the building and repairs of public amenities such as picnic tables and benches, and the removal of cattails from the marsh to restore water flow. Most work days were unsupervised which forced me to work on my own to find and prioritize what tasks needed to be done and how they should be approached. Working at Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary was a great opportunity which taught me much about working individually and as a team. At Emerson’s Carpentry, I learned the basics of carpentry and discovered my passion for working with my hands. This position gave me the confidence required to learn new tools and step out of my comfort zone. Despite only working with Emerson’s Carpentry for a single summer, I finished the position by managing one other employee and gained valuable work experience.
