I write regularly for football business platform Off The Pitch, including interviewing club executives about strategy, trends and leadership.My interviews include senior leaders from the big five European leagues, as well as owners and executives throughout the international football pyramid.

Valencia Area, Spain

I report on La Liga, Spanish football’s top competition, for international broadcaster Mediapro.I am the English-language editor and journalist in charge of covering clubs in the Valencian Community – Valencia CF, Levante UD and Villarreal – for La Liga TV International.My duties include performing live crosses from grounds, match reports, flash zone player interviews, match previews and vox pops (in Spanish in English).

As part of the Lonely Planet locals project, I am contracted as the ‘local’ for Valencia, Spain. This involves researching and writing articles and reviews, submitting photos and fact-checking content for Lonely Planet – one of the world’s leading travel companies.

I was contracted by Forbes, one of the world’s most respected media companies, to work on the 2018 list of World Billionaires. My role involved investigating British and French billionaires and suspected billionaires and determining a net valuation of their wealth. Working remotely, I was responsible for interviewing numerous sources, including analysts and, where possible, the billionaires themselves, analysing various public and private documents, and writing original bios for each billionaire.

Brisbane

I handled all proactive and reactive media relations for the Commission, with a particular focus on the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner. This included devising and implementing proactive media plans, editing corporate publications, providing strategic media advice, managing social media channels and speech writing.

My role with the university’s media team involves promoting research and other key achievements to media by creating compelling and newsworthy content including media releases, social media messaging and multimedia content. I also support and manage media for major events and advise on crisis communication strategy.

I worked at News Queensland, publisher of The Courier-Mail and The Sunday Mail, for more than three years across a number of different roles and rounds. Key achievements include:• Co-editing, writing and researching the Sunday Mail Queensland Top 150 Rich List twice. This involved interviewing a number of the most successful businesspeople in Australia, researching and valuing their personal and business assets, writing feature articles for a special liftout magazine and generating audio and visual content for online.• Establishing the higher education roundIn November 2012 I was selected to lead the newly created Higher Education round. This required me to set up and nurture contacts and relationships across the higher education sector in Queensland and produce newsworthy content to rolling deadlines for both the daily newspaper and longer pieces for weekends.• Receiving a nomination for the Queensland Clarion Awards (Business Journalism)After a year working on the business desk, I finished runner-up in the Business Journalism category for a feature article written.
