At Chegg, I work closely with institutions, education partners and business development opportunities to understand enrollment management needs (domestic, transfer, international, and graduate) student retention services, global outreach and increasing graduation. It is my job to share best practices on how Chegg can support all of those initiatives. Additionally,I serve on our senior leadership team with all services related to student success (enrollment management, learning services - including tutoring and college counseling because of my involvement in higher education prior to joining Chegg. I found Chegg, formerly Zinch, to be extremely effective during my time at UC Berkeley, Stanford, and UNC Chapel Hill in connecting with students that matched the unique enrollment objectives of three very highly selective institutions. Chegg provided a very engaging, relevant and cost effective way of connecting with targeted populations without adding additional stress on my staff. I decided to leave 15 years of enrollment management experience and join the Chegg team because I knew that Chegg was in a position put students first and help them save time, save money and get smarter.

• Overseeing the implementation of the complex selection and admission of undergraduates• Participating in system-wide and campus policy-making committees, making binding decisions for the Berkeley campus• Supervising the transfer articulation process for the Berkeley campus• Managing the day-to-day operations of the admissions office• Utilizing innovative technologies to recruit new markets and maintain existing relationships• Guiding the planning team for the creation and implementation of a new online reading tool• Serving on various committees for IT, recruitment, athletics, and faculty oversight• Sharing in the approval process for $3.5M budget and human resource decisions• Building relationships with counselors, administrators, community based organizations, and other university stakeholders to enhance collaboration efforts• Designing a comprehensive recruitment plan for freshman and transfer students• Establishing a positive work environment in a difficult fiscal environment• Mentoring staff in the importance of the admissions profession

• Overseeing recruitment efforts for undergraduate admissions• Evaluating applications for freshman and transfer students• Managing a $3M Undergraduate Admissions Budget, Human Relations, and Information Technology• Supervising 12 professional staff members including IT Applications Specialist, budget manager, events coordinator, and nine assistant and senior directors• Creating a comprehensive plan for all aspects of recruitment• Working collaboratively with Associate Director of Outreach in creating innovative ways to recruit underrepresented minorities• Overseeing Science Faculty Committee to create ways to attract students interested in science and engineering• Participating in the implementation of a university wide ERP system – PeopleSoft• Mentoring and encouraging staff about various opportunities to grow professionally• Creating new recruitment programs and strategies to attract students including but not limited to rural outreach programs, new technologies, in-state and out-of-state programs, and marketing efforts• Serving as a liaison to various departments including financial aid, residential life, student affairs, music, drama, and alumni• Researching and studying trends in population growth, enrollment trends, and student success as it relates to college admissions• Performing other duties as needed: consortium travel, building and ground manager, etc.
