Wafer fab yields reached up to 98% after 2 years of work• Increased wafer fab yield by 3% on 66% of APOC wafer types by leading a design and implementation team to re-design the product transfer load mechanism on a key metal deposition manufacturing system.• Decreased product scrap and equipment downtime by hiring the original equipment manufacturer’s field service engineer to refurbish the single wafer etch manufacturing systems while simultaneously training the equipment maintenance staff on the procedures• During staff meetings, addressed safety concerns identified in incident/accident reports and implemented mistake proof solutions to prevent the issues from re-occurring• Solved a rare and random controller fault issue on one system by implementing anti-static procedures.• Project priorities were determined via an Excel spread sheet tool which weighed advantages of equipment modification and/or installation efforts versus qualification efforts• Met with the staff on a weekly basis to review progress on assigned projects• Weekly progress reports were sent to the senior leadership team, the engineering team and operations supervisors via an Excel spread sheet which allowed for easy tracking of any project of interest. • Created ‘Request for Capital Expenditure’ presentations for the Senior Leadership Team, which were required to secure funds for project work• Installed and validated equipment to meet FDA, ISO 13845 and Ontario safety requirements

Project Manager – New Manufacturing Line

• Led a 5 person Equipment Technician (ET) team tasked with sourcing, purchasing, installing and validating 80 pieces of equipment for a new semiconductor wafer fab at a newly acquired plant• Led the ET’s in liaising with engineering and operations, to establish process requirements and physical layout of the equipment to be purchased. The equipment had to be ergonomically friendly and it had to meet the process requirements required for the product. The established design and user requirement specifications were sent to equipment manufacturers as part of the equipment design and selection process• Meet with the ET’s on a weekly basis to review progress on their search for equipment and updated the action registrar accordingly. The equipment had to meet the user and design requirement specifications and it had to be within budget. To achieve this at least 3 manufacturers were invited to supply bids for each piece of equipment purchased• Used MS Project to develop equipment installation plans and project schedules which supported corporate goals and milestones. Schedule Gantt charts were printed and posted on a weekly basis once the installation work began• Generated a spread sheet with 1250 entries to indicate where equipment was to be located within the new manufacturing space and what facility requirements needed to be installed at each new equipment location • Reviewed all equipment installation validation protocols and reports as part of the ISO and FDA requirements• Reviewed all lock out tag out, maintenance and calibration documents generated by staff• Ensured all equipment was inspected to meet Ontario electrical and safety standards• Presented with an excellence award for purchasing all the manufacturing equipment within the budget of $7,500,000.00• Completed the equipment installation project on time which allowed the previous plant to be decommissioned and vacated thus saving $1,000,000.00 in rent and $100,000.00 in utilities

Other methods of training included sending techs to the original equipment manufacturer or have a Field Service Representative come to the facility or have the techs cross train each other• Developed job descriptions, performed year end reviews, hired staff and made the difficult decision to identify staff for termination• Hired and managed an Equipment Clerk to manage the hundreds of parts with a value well over 1 million dollars. Collaborated with the Equipment Clerk to purchase Somax inventory control software. Parts were bar code labelled and a bar code scanner was purchased to manage inventory• Participated in budget planning with the Director of Operations for the front end of the manufacturing process• Participated in periodic ISO and AQR audits to ensure the quality of the product was maintained
