Product Documentation Engineer - Senior
CurrentOrganize and manage the implementation of product changes in production systems to ensure the established guidelines and processes are adhered to for manufacturing at the Mack Macungie Plant and Volvo New River Plant for Function groups 5000/7000 that includes Frames (Chassis), damping, wheels, tires, and springs, brakes, and air control. Core Responsibilities:Within the Global Product Preparation network, and in accordance with the Global Development Process (GDP), perform product preparations and time setting of Design Change Notes (DCN’s) on product changes, and the treating of Sprint CNs.Involvement with Start Cost Projects, Product Modification Requests (PMR), TAGS, and Quality related product changesUpdate and/or approve the input to various administrative systems in order to manage product change introductions relative to established QDCF standards.Establish and follow-up targets on an on-going basis. Based upon the GDP, find new and improved methods of working (processes/routines development) within the Product Preparation Administration Group.Critique data from multiple systems, evaluate for consistencies and compatibilities, recognize conflicts in the data, inform data owners of discrepancies and suggest alternative means of conflict resolution.Analyze inputs from various disciplines relative to forecasts, production schedules and project requirements. Create part estimated usages for tooling, part quotation, and procurement.Process SPRINT data to ensure CN time setting is correctly introduced in a fashion that will not have a blocking, TBF (To Before From), or out of sequence CN. Discuss with DIS handler for resolution, which may include moving the DIS established time set date.Link BSL’s and treat CN’s to provide the truck plant with a SPRINT material structure for the release of parts for assembly.Participate in SPRINT and DIS Global Users Groups.
